Municipal schools get drinking water and toilet block facility:
Dream India Foundation and Rajiv vidya mission have come together once again to provide toilet block and drinking water facility to two municipal schools in Gudur town. The two municipal schools which together has about 250 children did not have any facility and the children had to go out on the streets for urinating. There was no drinking water facility either and the children had no water even to quench their thirst.
In association with Rajiv Vidya mission, Dream India Foundation took up the project of providing these facilities to the two schools and inaugurated them on December 28, 2010. One of the toilet block was inaugurated by the Commissioner of Gudur municipality, Sri Seetha Ramaiah. Speaking in the occasion he lauded the efforts of Dream India Foundation in making the dreams of children real. He said he look forward to see Dream India Foundation take up providing this facility to more municipal schools in Gudur town. The facility in other school was inaugurated by Tahsildar of Gudur division Sri Penchal Kishore. He said there are very few organisations like Dream India who are sincere and committed about working for the cause of the children. He said working for the cause of Literacy can help eradicate many other social evils in the society.
Marilyn Perlyn, founder of the OCHO project from USA and Don Perlyn served as the guests of honour. They said they have been hearing about the work being done by DIF through its trustee Surendra and were very keen on visiting Gudur to see how the work being done was making a difference to poor and downtrodden people. They explained about the work OCHO project has been doing around the world and promised to take up more projects in the coming days in association with Dream India foundation.
Trustee Surendra thanked Sri Harischandra reddy who served as the co-sponsor of the project. He said the support of people like him serves as motivation to take up bigger projects in the coming days.
